Owner and operator Mike Dezell’s interest in land design stems from his career as a provincially certified Journeyman Horticulturist and over a decade of experience in the landscaping industry. His love for design aesthetics brings a little magic to every project.
Our dependable, licensed crew has proven skill sets that are put to use in a range of landscape services, from small one-day projects to full construction overhauls. Watershed Land Design has successfully developed a range of properties, both transforming public spaces and making your yard fun again. Our focus is to create outdoor living spaces that can be enjoyed throughout all four seasons, using all five senses.

PROFILE
Mike Dezell began working in the landscape construction industry in 1996 for Suntree Land Design in Prince George, BC. As there weren’t many landscaping companies in the Northern Interior, Suntree did all aspects of the trade, which proved to be excellent training. A visit to Van Dusen garden while in Vancouver for a family wedding convinced Mike there could be more to landscaping than what Zone 3 can offer, and he decided to move to the West Coast in the summer of 1999. Two years later, on Canada Day of 2001, Watershed Land Design was founded, concentrating on the residential construction market. The company has pursued its original goal to provide the full range of landscape construction services. Mike is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist as well as a provincially certified Journeyman Horticulturist.
